Embattled former chairman of the House of Representatives committee on appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibril has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to either fight those blackmailing him or give up the presidency.

It would be recalled that Jubrin was removed as chairman of the appropriation committee after he was accused of stalling the passage of the 2016 budget in what led him to laying several allegations against the House Speaker Yakubu Dogara.

In a series of tweets released via his tweeter handle, @AbdulAbmJ on Monday evening, the former Appropriation committee chair accused the president of allowing himself to be taken hostage.

In one of the tweets, he wrote, “A President must repel blackmail with all his arsenals or give up the presidency.

“You cannot be an effective president while in hostage!”

Apart from accusing the president of playing into the hands of people whom he alleged do not believe in the administration, the Kano born lawmaker alleged that the President has turned his back on a lot of issues all in the name of achieving political stability and harmony.

Some details of the tweeted message read thus ‘‘Mr President such ‘political stability’ and ‘harmony’ that compels you to turn away your face from where you shouldn’t is useless to our country’’

The tweet also reassured the president that his decision will come back to haunt him. Jubrin in the tweet also told the president ‘‘You will come back to these tweets in 18 months’’

The House in September suspended Jubrin after his allegations that the House leadership padded the 2016 budget tothe tune of N40 billion naira, other accused alongside the Speaker include; the Deputy speaker Yusuff Lasun, Chief Whip Al-hassan Ado- Doguwa and Minority Leader Leo Ogor.

WATCHDOG News also learnt that the embattled lawmaker has since departed the country for the United Kingdom citing security concerns.
